Position Title: Automation Test Engineer

Contract Duration: 12-18 months, with a possibility of extension and/or a full-time conversion with the client

Targeted Start date: ASAP

Desired Core Location(s): Plano, TX (hybrid – 3 days/week in the office)

Interview Process & Feedback: 2 steps: first – virtual 30-min panel; then – an in-person, 1-hour panel

  • Coding skills in Java, testing concepts > will be doing live coding

Job Description:

Responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes, with 8+ years of experience. Ensures software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements through comprehensive testing. Expert in conditioning and generating test data, building, and executing both manual and automated test suites, communicating test results, and assisting with defect triage. Leads test planning and case reviews, collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure thorough test coverage. Creates and manages traceability throughout the development lifecycle. Utilizes testing tools and processes to complete testing and support code promotion. Maintains and catalogs test suites across all test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.). Proven Experience in UI and API test automation with Java using Selenium, RestAssured. Have handled Jenkins along with GitHub/BitBucket. Implements and maintains test automation frameworks, identifies automation opportunities, and develops test automation for applicable test types. Executes manual and automated tests, reports issues and defects with clear background information. Experienced in Agile methodologies, actively participates in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Individual contributor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions."
