Overview
We are seeking an Associate Director, Program Management with a focus on media—an integration expert with a passion for collaboration and driving cohesion across media planning and execution cycles. This role plays a critical part in enabling the flawless delivery of brand and performance media campaigns by establishing strong connection points across campaign timelines, workflows, and processes, ensuring seamless execution from conception through completion.
The Associate Director, Program Management is a senior delivery leader responsible for owning medium‑to‑large programs or multiple workstreams across execution phases. In this role, you will lead with empathy and a strong focus on team success, while being accountable for delivery organization, operational efficiency, and overall delivery health.
This role requires a deep understanding of the media campaign lifecycle and the ability to facilitate integrated management across planning and executional phases, including digital, social, video, and OOH campaigns, as well as digital partnerships and promotions. You will partner closely with internal paid media teams, providing day‑to‑day delivery leadership, task management, and coordination to deliver exceptional outcomes for both internal teams and clients.
The ideal candidate will not only help shape and execute the plans that enable great work—you will also lead and mentor project managers , oversee large programs of work, and contribute to the successful delivery of complex initiatives. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong leadership presence, and the ability to confidently operate in the driver’s seat to anticipate challenges, align teams, and keep delivery moving forward.
Responsibilities
Plan and manage large paid media campaigns, driving the project planning process to ensure alignment across internal teams, external partners, and clients throughout the full lifecycle
Own execution of paid media campaigns, including maintaining project plans, facilitating process alignment, and proactively identifying and escalating risks early and often
Partner closely with paid media teams by organizing and prioritizing client requests, tracking deliverables, timelines, scope, and ad hoc work
Drive adoption and governance of delivery tools, processes, and methodologies across internal Razorfish teams and client program teams
Proactively identify delivery, team, or workflow challenges and diagnose and implement corrective actions in partnership with leadership
Lead and facilitate large working sessions with internal teams to drive alignment, decision making, and execution readiness.
Set, manage, and continuously monitor internal, client, and third party expectations to minimize surprises and ensure positive stakeholder experiences.
Regularly assess performance against expectations and take corrective action to address misalignment across teams
Protect internal interests by ensuring clear scope definition, documented assumptions, and explicit third p‑arty dependencies for large programs
Accountable for proactive identification and mitigation of delivery risks, dependencies, resourcing challenges, and team health risks
Apply and adapt Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies based on program needs, ensuring consistent execution of processes, ceremonies, and tools
Support scope management and change control discussions with guidance from senior leadership
Lead and mentor Program Managers and Senior Program Managers on assigned work, providing coaching on delivery rigor, risk management, and communication
Support staffing and capacity planning by identifying coverage gaps, forecasting needs, and flagging delivery strain
Act as the primary day to‑ day‑ delivery contact for clients on assigned programs, communicating status, risks, and changes clearly and proactively
Track delivery burn, staffing alignment, and scope changes, flagging potential financial or margin risks early
Qualifications
6–9+ years of program or project management experience, preferably within a fast moving media agency environment
Demonstrated experience managing medium-to-large paid media programs or multiple concurrent workstreams
Experience leading and mentoring Program Managers or Senior Program Managers
Strong working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies
Ability to proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints
Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal teams and client stakeholders
Working knowledge of enterprise delivery tools such as Workfront, Smartsheet, JIRA, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with Adobe Workfront is a plus

Compensation Range: $112,290 - $161,280 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
