We are seeking an individual to assist with the procurement of construction materials and equipment to supply our various projects throughout New England.
Extensive knowledge of site, concrete, and demolition tools/materials and minimum five years of construction purchasing or related experience is required, as is a working knowledge of purchase order process and insurance certificates. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential and ability to multitask at a high tempo is a must. This is a full time, on-site position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Building and maintaining relationships with various suppliers/venders to obtain competitive pricing,
Place required orders for continued operations,
Issue purchase orders, obtain certificates of insurance, and negotiate basic legal provisions, when needed,
Reconcile invoice/purchase order discrepancies with vendors,
Negotiate best pricing while shrinking supplier lead times,
Implement cost savings programs and provide regular updates to management,
Perform additional related assignments as requested.
