Sr. Project Manager - IT w/ Novo Nordisk Inc. in Plainsboro, NJConvert Information Technology strategy into reality through execution of high priority, complex projects. Manage projects according to scope, timeline, and budget while fulfilling quality requirements and managing risks. Ensure the IT strategy has proper business alignment and recommend tools and process improvements where necessary. Manage and lead project teams, vendors, and stakeholders so that stated project objectives, benefits, and solution requirements are met. Partner with Information Technology colleagues and Line of Business stakeholders in the execution of key initiatives. Collaborate with other functional areas to develop and deploy solutions that impact multiple areas in the organization. Identify project opportunities and pursue them from idea to post implementation. Contribute to the development and maturing of Project and Process services and Information Technology. Ensure solutions implemented are successfully handed over to responsible units, such as IT Systems Management, to manage future lifecycle of the solution. Provide guidelines for implementing secure systems to installation teams and monitor system operations to detect potential problems. Provide strategic leadership to large cross-functional projects using the Novo Nordisk IT project management methodology. Utilize knowledge of system development lifecycle and pharmaceutical industry to anticipate potential barriers, provide solutions and ensure the successful completion and handover of projects. Ensure departmental project and QA requirements are fulfilled and adhered to. Incorporate quality systems into all stages of the project/lifecycle to ensure deliverables meet quality requirements.Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science or a related field and minimum five years experience in project management. Experience must include the following skills/tools/technologies: Technology lifecycle management; Data Archiving objects including Data Structures Command, Dataset, and Data Adapter Objects in Archiving Applications; Utilizing IBM InfoSphere Optim; Vitalize Application Portfolio Suite; Veritas Enterprise Vault; Data Integration; Application Rationalization and Modernization; and Utilizing Life Science Applications Data Analyst.
