The Position

The Senior Digital Data & Analytics Manager is accountable for shaping and advancing the organization’s US digital data strategy, governance, and stewardship to unlock the full value of data in a highly regulated environment. This role ensures digital data assets are governed, high quality, and ethically used, while enabling speed, innovation, and confidence in decision making. By establishing clear standards, ownership, and lifecycle management for digital data, the role builds a resilient data foundation that supports advanced analytics, AI, and future digital capabilities, positioning the organization for sustained growth and transformation.

Relationships

The Senior Digital Data & Analytics Manager reports to the Director, Data & Analytics Strategy and serves as a key integrator across data, digital, and analytics functions. The role engages regularly with senior leaders including Omnichannel Intelligence, Data Science, Business Applications, and other functional leads to drive alignment, prioritization, and effective execution of enterprise data strategy and governance.

Essential Functions

  • Define and execute the enterprise digital data strategy and governance framework to ensure data is trusted, compliant, and strategically aligned to business priorities

  • Provide strategic guidance on digital data architecture, partnering with IT and platform teams to ensure architectural decisions support governance standards, scalability, interoperability, and future analytics and AI needs

  • Establish and maintain clear data governance standards, policies, and operating models covering data ownership, stewardship, quality, access, and lifecycle management

  • Serve as a strategic partner to digital, analytics, and business leaders to align priorities, resolve trade offs, and enable effective execution of data initiatives

  • Drive cross functional alignment across Omnichannel Intelligence, Data Science, DD&IT, Compliance, Legal, and Privacy teams

  • Lead governance for digital and analytical data assets, ensuring consistent definitions, transparency, and auditability across platforms and use cases

  • Enable scalable use of digital data to support advanced analytics, AI, and innovation while managing risk and regulatory requirements

  • Establish forums, processes, and decision mechanisms to prioritize data initiatives and resolve governance issues efficiently

  • Promote a culture of data stewardship, accountability, and responsible data use across the organization

  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities within the digital data landscape and drive continuous improvement of governance maturity

  • Support adoption and change management for new data standards, processes, and capabilities

    Physical Requirements

    0-10% overnight travel required.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required (e.g., Business, Technology, Data, Analytics, Information Systems, Science, or a related discipline); advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data strategy, data governance, digital, analytics, or related roles, preferably within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries

  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing data strategy and governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, quality, access, and lifecycle management

  • Strong understanding of digital data architectures and platforms, with the ability to provide strategic guidance without owning day to day technical delivery

  • Proven ability to partner and influence across business, digital, analytics, IT, compliance, legal, and privacy functions in a matrixed organization

  • Experience engaging and aligning senior leaders and functional leads to drive prioritization, decision making, and execution

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills, with comfort operating in ambiguity and complexity

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate governance concepts into practical, business relevant outcomes

    The base compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $190,000. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance.

Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
