Position: Journeyman Electrician
Location: New Jersey (various job sites)

License Required: None — must meet NJ hours/experience requirements and work under a Licensed Electrical Contractor
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to support electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance work across residential, commercial, and industrial projects in New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who has completed or is close to completing the state‑required hours for journeyman status and can work independently under a Licensed Electrical Contractor.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Assist in the installation of panels, breakers, lighting systems, conduits, and other components.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform necessary repairs.
Ensure compliance with the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and job‑site safety requirements.
Work efficiently on residential and/or commercial job sites.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and clients.
Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years of electrical experience (or equivalent training).
Completion of an apprenticeship program or documented field experience.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to work under the supervision of a Licensed Electrical Contractor (NJ requirement).
Ability to read electrical plans and technical documents.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
