Pittsford Central School District Paraprofessionals for the 2025-2026 School Year - K-12 Openings in Pittsford, New York
The Pittsford Central School District is seeking paraprofessionals for the 2025-2026 school year. Most positions will be working one-to-one with a student, helping them manage classroom tasks, behavioral expectations, and performing other duties as outlined by the classroom teacher, including but not limited to:
Record keeping
Supervision of student(s)
Helping with daily planning of instructional outcomes
Attending all pertinent meetings
Creating a welcoming and affirming learning environment for all students
Assisting student(s) with academic assignments
Assisting student(s) with their project research, library and media skills, and basic computer skills, etc
Performing routine clerical duties such as: copying, filing, data entry and compiling attendance reports
Monitoring and supporting the implementation of student(s) programs
Assisting student(s) with their daily activities
We have openings district wide (K-12) in all buildings. Your work schedule will vary depending on the assignment, but the school day consists of the following:

Grades 6-8 7:35 AM 2:24 PM
Grades 9-12 7:40 AM 2:21 PM
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Successful candidates should possess the following:
Working knowledge of the school organization
Working knowledge of basic student desktops and laptops
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to assist students with basic technological needs
Ability to obtain student cooperation and attention
Ability to give instructions
Ability to work well with students and school personnel
Ability to understand and deal with student behavior
Ability to maintain simple electronic records
Ability to demonstrate dependability
Ability to demonstrate good judgment
Possess physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Candidates should also possess the following:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) One (1) year of full-time or part-time equivalent paid or volunteer equivalent experience working with children; OR
(B) Possession of a certificate of completion for a course in Child Care through an occupational school, The American Red Cross or similar agency; OR,
(C) A combination of experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), above.
NOTE: Successful completion of one (1) year of college education beyond high school (minimum of 30 semester college credit hours) may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
