Arbor Associates is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join an adult community-based crisis stabilization program in Pittsfield, MA. This is a weekend contract position supporting adults experiencing acute psychiatric crises, including psychosis and other serious mental health challenges, in a short-term, recovery-focused setting. This role is ideal for an LPN who is calm under pressure, clinically solid, and passionate about behavioral health and crisis work. About the Role - As a weekend LPN on the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit, you will provide hands-on nursing care and medication support while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary clinical team. The program emphasizes safety, stabilization, and transition back to the community. Key Responsibilities - Administer and manage medications as ordered within scope of practice - Conduct nursing assessments (vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, anxiety, pain, wounds, infection, blood glucose, and psychiatric presentation) - Respond effectively to psychiatric and medical emergencies - Support individuals experiencing psychosis and acute mental health distress - Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records - Collaborate with outpatient providers to support discharge and aftercare planning - Facilitate basic health and wellness education groups - Encourage activities of daily living and self-care - Provide limited transportation to medical appointments as needed Why Arbor Associates - Competitive hourly contract rates - Consistent scheduling opportunities - Support from an experienced healthcare staffing agency - Meaningful work with real community impact Requirements - Active Massachusetts LPN license - Behavioral health, psychiatric, or crisis experience strongly preferred - Knowledge of psychotropic medications - BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) - Comfort working with diverse adult populations - Valid driver\'s license and insured vehicle - EMR experience preferred Apply today to join Arbor Associates and make a difference where it matters most.
