About the Role: The Lead Camp Counselor will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers of all ages. This position involves overseeing daily camp activities, ensuring that all campers are actively participating and enjoying their experience. The Lead Camp Counselor will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior counselors, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Additionally, this role requires effective communication with parents and guardians to provide updates on camper progress and address any concerns. Ultimately, the Lead Camp Counselor will contribute to the overall success of the camp by promoting a positive and inclusive culture that encourages personal growth and teamwork among campers. Minimum Qualifications: - Min 18 Years Old or High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting. - Strong leadership and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: - First Aid and CPR certification. - Experience in program planning and implementation. - College coursework in education, recreation, or a related field. Responsibilities: - Plan, organize, and lead daily camp activities and programs that cater to the interests and needs of campers. - Supervise and mentor junior counselors, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive team dynamic. - Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all campers, adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding camper progress, behavior, and any relevant updates. - Evaluate and provide feedback on camp programs and activities to continuously improve the camper experience.
