About the Role Bousquet Sport is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Junior Camp Counselors to support our summer and school vacation camp programs. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who enjoy working with children and are looking to build leadership, responsibility, and teamwork skills in a structured camp environment. Junior Counselors play an important supporting role in ensuring campers have a safe, engaging, and positive experience each day. Key Responsibilities - Assist Camp Counselors in supervising campers during activities and transitions - Support the execution of daily schedules, games, and structured programming - Help set up, organize, and clean up activity areas and equipment - Engage with campers and encourage participation in all activities - Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe environment - Follow direction from Camp Counselors and Head Camp Counselor - Actively participate in recreational activities and group engagement Qualifications - Interest in working with children in a camp, recreational, or educational setting - Responsible, dependable, and positive attitude - Strong teamwork and willingness to learn - Ability to take direction and support group leadership Preferred: - Prior experience in camps, childcare, or youth programs Requirements - CPR / First Aid / AED Certification (required prior to or shortly after hire) - Successful completion of CORI/SORI background checks - Ability to meet all Massachusetts Department of Public Health camp regulations (105 CMR 430.000) Physical Demands - Ability to remain active and on your feet for extended periods - Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions - Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching - Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (equipment and supplies) - Ability to respond quickly to camper needs, including short-distance running - Maintain visual and auditory awareness for active supervision at all times Why Join Bousquet Sport? - Fun, team-oriented environment - Gain hands-on experience working with children - Build leadership and communication skills - Great entry point into recreation, education, or youth development careers - Opportunity for growth into Camp Counselor roles Schedule Expectations Schedules vary based on camp programming needs and may include weekdays, with shifts typically falling within daytime camp hours.
