Bousquet Sport Enterprises LLC* Camp Counselor - FT or PT in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

About the Role Bousquet Sport is seeking energetic and responsible Camp Counselors to lead campers through daily activities and create a safe, fun, and engaging camp experience. This role serves as the frontline leader for camper groups, working closely with the Head Camp Counselor and supporting Junior Counselors in delivering structured, high-quality programming. What You\'ll Do Camper Supervision & Engagement - Lead and supervise a group of campers throughout the day - Facilitate games, activities, and structured programming - Encourage participation and create an inclusive, positive environment - Build strong, supportive relationships with campers Program Execution - Execute daily schedules and activities as planned - Assist with setup, organization, and cleanup of program areas - Adapt activities as needed based on group dynamics and weather - Maintain consistency and energy throughout the day Safety & Responsibility - Ensure active supervision and camper safety at all times - Maintain proper headcounts, attendance tracking, and transitions - Follow all safety protocols and camp procedures - Respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, or behavioral issues - Support compliance with Massachusetts camp regulations (105 CMR 430.000) Team Support - Collaborate with Head Camp Counselor and fellow staff - Provide guidance and support to Junior Counselors - Communicate any concerns, incidents, or needs to leadership - Contribute to a positive and team-oriented staff culture What We\'re Looking For - Experience working with children in a camp, school, or recreational setting (preferred) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Positive, energetic, and dependable - Ability to lead groups and manage behavior effectively - Team-oriented with a willingness to support others Requirements - CPR / First Aid / AED Certification (required prior to or shortly after hire) - Successful completion of CORI/SORI background checks - Ability to meet all Massachusetts Department of Public Health camp regulations (105 CMR 430.000) Physical Requirements - Ability to remain active and on your feet for extended periods - Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions - Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching - Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (equipment and supplies) - Ability to respond quickly to camper needs, including short-distance running - Maintain strong visual and auditory awareness for active supervision Why Join Bousquet Sport? - Fun, team-oriented environment - Direct impact on camper experience and development - Build leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills - Opportunity for growth into Head Camp Counselor roles - Be part of a structured, high-quality camp program Schedule Expectations Schedules vary based on camp programming needs and may include weekdays during standard camp hours.
