Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. seeks a(n) Sr Systems Administrator in Pittsburgh, PA.
Duties: • Lead and supervise all installed low code application systems and infrastructure. • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools. • Define, design, and document reference architecture and own the implementation. • Lead performance monitoring and tuning of low code platform. • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues. • Automate manual tasks in the platform to increase accuracy and efficiency. • Provide DevOps and technical support to various development teams. • Provide ongoing support and address on the application suite and resolve issues. • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies. • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks. • Proven track record in system/application administration support. • Build/release and automation experience in Microsoft platforms. • Engage with business and technical partners to achieve key objectives and tackle problems.
REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM Education Requirement: Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study. MINIMUM Experience Requirement: 3 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or related occupation. Alternative Education and Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 years of experience as a Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or related occupation. Required knowledge or experience with: • OutSystems, Low code, Windows Administration; • Linux, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Database, Mulesoft; • Experience with enterprise applications (ERP and CRM); • Front-end JavaScript Framework (Angular and React); • Build and lead Mule API Gateway; • Experience in Implementing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) using XML-based webservices; • Several AWS Services such as S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Search, ELB, EC2 and Route 53; and • Database skills (SQL Server and Oracle) and understanding of DB.
