UPMC Shadyside is seeking an experienced Radiology Tech Advanced to join our Consolidated Outpatient Team at the UPP Orthopedic office located in the Medical Center Building.

Ortho X-rays only - focused, specialized workflow

This is a high-volume, fast-paced orthopedic practice featuring two X-ray rooms, with the majority of studies focused on knee, hip, and foot imaging. If you enjoy orthopedic imaging and working closely with a dedicated specialty team, this is a fantastic opportunity.
What You'll Do:
Perform all responsibilities of a Diagnostic Tech I, while practicing at an advanced level
Support or assist the Clinical Specialist with QA, regulatory testing, and technical/research initiatives
Demonstrate advanced competency with specialty equipment (O.R., Fluoro procedures, etc.)
Monitor and maintain quality control standards in alignment with the most up-to-date imaging protocols
Collaborate directly with Radiologists on protocol development
Participate in system-wide standardization initiatives
Provide mentorship and assist in training staff and student technologists
Function independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership
This role is ideal for a technologist who thrives in a busy orthopedic setting, enjoys autonomy, and is passionate about quality imaging and professional growth.
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
2 years Diagnostic experience required.
Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
ARRT Certificate
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
