SMS group Inc. Product Manager - Cokemaking (Multiple Openings) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
SMS seeks Product Managers - Cokemaking to work in Pittsburgh, PA and be responsible for leading business development, strategic planning, and managing resources for Cokemaking products. This role has direct contact with SMS customers, SMS Group workshops, and SMS Group sales, service, and engineering staff, with a focus on strategic outlook and market trends for SMS Group Cokemaking products. Specific duties include: Direct contact with customers with the assistance of SMS group Inc. key account sales personnel; Create an open dialog with customers to look for opportunities to develop solutions utilizing SMS Group technical resources to solve customers Cokemaking issues; Obtain RFQs from customers and present them to SMS Group internal resources to be processed and assist in preparing the final proposal to the customer; Coordinate resources and strategy for technical and commercial offers; Coordinate meetings with other SMS entities worldwide for Cokemaking business s. Provide onsite consulting on Cokemaking and Cokemaking Equipment; Serve as technical interface with customers to assist in any operational questions that arise; and Work directly with SMS Group technical services to solve Cokemaking process line issues; Represent SMS group Inc. in conferences and seminars; Produce technical papers and presentations and present at conferences and seminars. REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Metallurgical Engineering or a directly related field of study, AND at least eight (8) years of experience in a metallurgical engineering role in the Cokemaking industry. Previous work experience must have included: At least eight (8) years of experience with Cokemaking processes; At least four (4) years of experience in commissioning or field service for Cokemaking products; At least four (4) years of experience in sales engineering skills, including writing of technical and commercial proposals and customer interactions; At least four (4) years of experience with preparing and presenting technical papers at conferences; and Some experience with interpreting metallurgical engineering mechanics and schematics.
