Payroll Supervisor :
Manage daily payroll operations for domestic and international, multi-state payrolls covering faculty, staff, and students.
Supervise, coach, and develop payroll staff.
Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and process documentation.
Identify and implement process, efficiency, and risk improvements.
Oversee year-end processing, including W-2 preparation, review, and distribution.
Ensure accurate tax calculations, withholdings, and timely filing of federal, state, and local payroll taxes; manage compliance reviews, audits, and agency coordination.
Monitor payroll metrics and daily performance reports; take corrective action on issues.
Oversee payroll reconciliation, recordkeeping, and validation of deductions (benefits, retirement, insurance, garnishments).
Resolve escalated payroll issues, including union, expat, and special pay cases.
Design and deliver payroll training on procedures, systems, and policies.
Lead process redesign, workflow improvements, and payroll system enhancements with HR, Finance, and IT.
Conduct analytical research, support KPI development, and contribute to project planning.
