Mt. Lebanon School District Middle School Assistant Principal in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Principal at Mellon Middle School.

This is a full-time, on-site, 12 month permanent position beginning July 2026, and offering a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, as well as a full benefits package, including: health, life, and liability insurance, paid time off, and academic reimbursement, according to the Act 93 Administrator Agreement.

The Middle School Assistant Principal (6-8) is a high-profile, public facing position responsible for providing exceptional leadership, good stewardship of school resources, and fostering high quality educational programs in the furtherance of the district's mission, "To provide the best education possible for each and every student."

Under the direction of the Middle School Principal, the Assistant Principal provides school-wide leadership that establishes and maintains a safe school environment conducive to teaching and learning and that promotes the educational well-being of students and the professional performance and development of staff. The Assistant Principal manages educational operations, including the enforcement of school rules and regulations; student attendance and discipline; supervises professional faculty, support staff, and students; serves as a special education representative; and maintains active relationships and communication with members of the school community.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Active PA Department of Education Administrative Certificate: Principal PK-12 or Secondary School Principal 7-12.

Prior principal experience preferred.

Five (5) years teaching experience required.
