Summary This role oversees the technical execution and administrative coordination of piping engineering activities for industrial projects. The position develops project-specific work plans, prepares technical documentation, and provides leadership for piping design efforts. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year institution
- At least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical and piping engineering within industrial facilities
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure
- Experience supporting power generation and other heavy industrial operations
- Strong working knowledge of applicable industry regulations and standards
- Demonstrated experience with pipe stress analysis
- Background in planning, scheduling, and coordinating piping design initiatives
- Proficiency interpreting piping and instrumentation drawings, isometrics, and 3D plant models
- Ability to perform site visits, assessments, and project scoping activities
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineers and designers by assigning tasks, establishing priorities, and supporting professional development
- Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards, schedule requirements, and project scope
- Direct the development of engineering calculations in alignment with project specifications
- Approve and oversee piping design methodologies and technical approaches
