Wabtec US Rail, Inc Lead Field Service and Technical Advising Specialist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Wabtec US Rail, Inc. dba Wabtec Corporation seeks Lead Field Service and Technical Advising Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA (and other unanticipated US locations as needed)
Represent Wabtec in the customer facility and/or remotely by providing technical information, work scopes, troubleshooting, and recommended repairs for locomotive maintenance.
Use the technical network to escalate technical concerns and engage remote Wabtec technical resources to solve account or across customer repair centers' problems.
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels within the customer shop.
Actively communicate within the shop and with the expanded Wabtec network to ensure technical accuracy and appropriate urgency.
Document repairs and material usage in eServices, including work order and defect close out notes, task sign offs, and component serial numbers.
Participate in customer failure review of shopped locomotives.
Train and support loading of all Wabtec supported Locomotive control and configuration software including DP, LDARS, and GoLink.
Assist with locomotive part warranty support.
Understand applicable industry regulations including Transport Canada, FRA, and AAR.
Understand and apply all environmental, health, and safety rules to work safely and actively participate in a positive safety culture.
Maintain Wabtec assets at the customer site including material, IT, intellectual property, and tooling.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field plus 4 years of experience.
Required experience must include any amount of experience in all of the following:
• Electrical or Mechanical Locomotive experience
• Locomotive subsystems including engine, traction, cooling, and electric
• Field operations and limitation using railroads GOI
• RM&D repair recommendations (RX's)
Telecommuting permitted.
Domestic travel required 20% of the time.
