UPMC Financial Aid Coordinator | Shadyside School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing is currently hiring a Full-Time Financial Aid Coordinator to join their rapidly growing team of life changers!

A Bachelor's degree is required for individuals who would like to be considered. Additionally, this role requires at least 3 years of experience in hospital/school finance and budgets, as well as experience in student admissions and financial aid.

Final candidates will be selected for a job title within the career ladder that reflects the level of education, experience, and manager discretion at the time of offer.

About the Position:

The Financial Aid Coordinator will administer the student financial aid program at the UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing. This individual will also provide financial aid and assistance to eligible students and maintain financial aid records.

The individual working in this role will work 10:00am - 6:00pm, in-office, with evening/weekend availability as needed, required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists graduating students with payment plans

  • Provides financial aid and assistance to eligible students in the part-time evening weekend program and other programs, as needed. Provides guidance regarding financial aid options.

  • Administers the financial aid program for the school and complies with federal and state regulations. Implements school policies and promote attainment of school goals.

  • Interacts and communicate effectively with students. Works cooperatively and productively with applicants, students, faculty, staff and others. This is an in-office position (not remote).

  • Assists with the administration of the admission process and recruitment activities for the schools.

  • Completes special projects and assignments as directed.

  • Maintains financial aid records.

  • Maintains knowledge regarding financial aid options.

  • Bachelor's degree is required.

  • 3 years of experience in hospital/school finance and budgets are required.

  • Student admissions and financial aid administration experience are required.

  • Knowledge of computers and the ability to assist others with computer use is required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 33 with renewal

  • Act 34 with renewal

  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
