Electrical Engineer III

Contract - 2 years

Job Description:

  • Work on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical midstream infrastructure. Ex. pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
  • Promote the integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs
  • Implement safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability
  • Provide expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for new construction and upgrades to existing facilities
  • Participate in complex engineering projects from concept to completion to align with business goals, timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs
  • Other duties as assigned

     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

OR

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (master's degree preferred)

  • 4 + years of experience in electrical engineering for midstream natural gas infrastructure, data centers or related industry
  • PMP certification or Project Management experience preferred.
  • Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects
  • Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools)
  • Knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)
  • Support designing and implantation PLC's and HMI's
  • Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear
  • Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
  • Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems
  • Experience in supporting procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials, with established industry contacts for sourcing reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Experience with participation of the commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
