Electrical Engineer III
Contract - 2 years
Job Description:
- Work on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical midstream infrastructure. Ex. pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
- Promote the integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs
- Implement safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability
- Provide expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for new construction and upgrades to existing facilities
- Participate in complex engineering projects from concept to completion to align with business goals, timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (master's degree preferred)
- 4 + years of experience in electrical engineering for midstream natural gas infrastructure, data centers or related industry
- PMP certification or Project Management experience preferred.
- Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects
- Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools)
- Knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)
- Support designing and implantation PLC's and HMI's
- Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear
- Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
- Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems
- Experience in supporting procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials, with established industry contacts for sourcing reliable vendors and suppliers
- Experience with participation of the commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
