ABBTECH Professional Resources, Inc. Distribution Design Engineering I in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Location: Pittsburgh, PA - Remote. Travel to customer sites in/around the Pittsburgh area is required. Framingham, MA - In office.
We are in search of an Associate Distribution Engineer for electric utility design engineering to work in the Western PA area (preferably Pittsburgh, PA) or Framingham MA
WHAT SETS YOU APART (Required Skills)
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering degree or Master’s degree (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil preferred) is required and 0 years of prior relevant experience. Relevant experience is either working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering.
• Must be comfortable in both a field office setting
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds
• Must be able to walk up to 2 miles on unpaved surfaces
• Candidate must provide their own reliable transportation
• Local customer/job-related travel is anticipated and will be reimbursed at IRS approved rates
YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE (Preferred Skills)
• Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
• Familiarity with pole loading software or GIS systems
• Fundamentals of Engineer Certifications

TYPICAL DAY
• 20-30% Field Inspections
• 60-80% Engineering and development of design packages for construction crews
• 10% Performing administrative task
Position Details:
- Pay Rate / Range:$25-$30_
The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
