Troy Granite Pittsburgh Inc Business Intelligence Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work in our Pittsburgh, PA office and support data-driven decision-making across sales, operations, and customer service. Create dashboards, analyze trends, and deliver insights using Power BI, Tableau, and SQL-based tools. The BI Analyst will play a key role in helping the company understand customer behavior, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau that summarize sales, financial, and operational data (e.g. sales by product/location, fabrication throughput,
installation cycle time) for executives and management
Configure and update BI systems (reports, dashboards, data repositories), and document specifications for reports and metadata. Maintain library of report templates and data definitions to
ensure consistency of business metrics
Examine business data to identify customer trends, sales performance patterns, and key performance indicators. Interpret results to uncover opportunities or issues (for example,
analyzing market and competitive trends in the stone and construction industry)
Write queries against SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases
Use SSIS or similar ETL tools to extract and prepare data for analysis
Work closely with IT, sales, production, and executive teams to understand business requirements and data needs. Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users,
translating business questions into technical BI solutions. Communicate with managers and department heads to determine which metrics and analyses will best support decision-making,
then validate that the analytics meet those requirements.
Position requires minimum one year experience as either a Business Intelligence Analyst, Database Administrator or any other position involving writing SQL queries, managing relational databases, maintaining data integrity, backups, and performance. Bachelor's degree or higher in Business/Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related degree required.
