EMSL is seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern (Asbestos) for its location in Piscataway, NJ. The laboratory intern assists the lab in both administrative and sample preparation tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS systemHandle, sort, count and prioritize incoming environmental samples under laboratory hoodReview paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctnessAssist as needed with sample preparation as neededSupport all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposalClean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as neededOther responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager Requirements:Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in life sciencesAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipSome laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus Proficient in MS Office Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clienteleAbility to work in a high volume environment Ability to stand and sit for various lengths of timeAbility to lift up to 25lbs. Effective time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi- task and prioritize workAvailable Shift: Monday to Friday 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Candidate living with a commutable distance to Piscataway, NJ are encouraged to apply.
