EMSL is seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern (Asbestos) for its location in Piscataway, NJ. The laboratory intern assists the lab in both administrative and sample preparation tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system Handle, sort, count and prioritize incoming environmental samples under laboratory hood Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness Assist as needed with sample preparation as needed Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager Requirements: Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in life sciences Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus  Proficient in MS Office  Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clientele Ability to work in a high volume environment  Ability to stand and sit for various lengths of time Ability to lift up to 25lbs.  Effective time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi- task and prioritize workAvailable Shift:  Monday to Friday 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.  Candidate living with a commutable distance to Piscataway, NJ are encouraged to apply.The pay rate for this position is $15.92 per hour. This is a seasonal position starting early June through August. To find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.comEOE including Veterans and Disabled.
