Broekema Beltway USA Maintenance Tech. 1 in Pine City, Minnesota

Job Duties

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to perform routine and preventative maintenance duties throughout the Broekema property. May also assist in R&D projects building prototype equipment as well as machining equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Follow a preventative maintenance schedule as outlined by Maintenance Manager and/or maintenance lead

  2. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machines, air compressors, forklifts, and auxiliary equipment

  3. Assist in outside maintenance such as snow/ice removal and basic landscaping in order to keep outside areas safe and well maintained

  4. Assist with R&D and production projects as directed

  5. Perform other duties and activities as required

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of and the ability to operate industrial machinery and equipment, hand and power tools, and forklifts

  2. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with welding, welding techniques, and welding equipment

  3. Ability to read blueprints and other technical drawings

  4. Basic knowledge of machine automation

  5. Position requires working with others as well as independently in order to meet work priorities

Physical Demands:

  1. Position requires ability to access all areas of Broekema campus

  2. Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, up to 35 pounds on a regular basis

  3. Position will require bending, lifting, walking, and standing/sitting for extended periods

Work Environment:

  1. Work may be performed in an office and a manufacturing area setting

  2. Some work may require exposure to heat and/or cold

Minimum Education Required

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience Required

  1. Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting

  2. Minimum of 1 year machine maintenance experience required

  3. Strong knowledge of welding and welding equipment
