Lawn Maintenance Technicians
Genesee Valley Landscape Co. Inc. is currently seeking a talented Lawn Maintenance Team Member. We are a locally owned and operated business, established in 2015. We are a full- service lawn and landscape maintenance company servicing Livingston, Steuben, Genesee, Wyoming and Monroe County. We are located in Piffard, NY. Experience is preferred, but not required.
Position Description As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for: Operating a zero-turn lawn mower Knowledge of or experience with a string trimmer and edger Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Operating automatic and manual transmission vehicles Taking instructions / direct supervision from lawn maintenance manager Basic knowledge of maintenance of zero turn mowers such as but not limited to oil changes, preferred Some heavy lifting of 50 lbs+
Position Requirements Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and organizer who is results-driven, assertive, efficient, and a team player. The ideal candidate has: A high school diploma or GED Lawn maintenance industry experience, preferred not required Good communication skills Valid NYS Drivers License A positive attitude and willingness to learn Experience operating trucks and trailer combination, preferred Professional & courteous to team members, clients and the public Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly wage ($18.00/hour - $20.00/hour) Pay is based on experience A 401(k) plan after 1 year of employment with the company is offered A family atmosphere, with additional benefits 4, 10 hour days- 40 hours a week, with opportunity for overtime
