Cognizant Functional Architect - Duckcreek Policy in Pierre, South Dakota

Cognizant requires a Functional Architect who demonstrates strong leadership abilities, is knowledgeable in the P&C software industry, and can work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The role will be work from home however travel is required and varies based on the assigned account requirements. This employee will work with large implementation teams and will be expected to work in a team setting, providing guidance to less senior team members, communicating status to the client and project manager, and help keeping the project moving from a requirements aspect. Employee will independently ensure that the quality of a developed product has met the acceptance criteria for client delivery by providing in-depth knowledge of approved business and testing requirements, insurance, and technical aspects of Duck Creek products.

In this role, you will:

  • Ability to provide guidance in the understanding of the insurance product and business needs of the customer

  • Primarily remote but travel will be required at client’s request – typically 25%

  • Ability to generate and deliver informative and well-organized presentations

  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group to include managers, and subject matter experts

  • Ability to understand the business issues and data challenges of the customer and collaborate with the team to build and present solutions

  • Ability to collaborate with a cross-geo business and technical team when nonstandard requirements / customization requests are identified to provide alternative business solutions and work arounds to meet the client’s needs

  • Ability to assist with program management activities such as Identification of project risks and collaborate with the team to implement mitigation plans that follow through to risk closure

  • Experience in managing and prioritizing a product backlog from inception through implementation go live to include full program dependency planning to ensure cohesive delivery across the program lifecycle (Items such as integrations, client led deliverables, etc.)

What you need to have to be considered

  • Duckcreek Policy Business Analyst 15+ years

  • ISO Commercial Lines domain experience preferred

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Strong business skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Solid experience doing requirements elicitation, drafting requirement artifacts, meeting with business stakeholders to define project goals

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 88,690 to $ 155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
