Who will you be working with?

The production supervisor directly leads the hourly associates while interacting with plant leadership team on overall direction and metrics.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the operations teams, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our hourly associates while collaborating with members of the plant leadership team to achieve positive culture and site goals including Safety and site compliance, quality, customer delivery, and productivity.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or supply chain management from an accredited college.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

• Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial environment (preferred)

• Eliminate sources of rework and inefficiency.

• Create visual management boards with daily performance metrics and trends.

• Demonstrated clear and concise communication skills, attention to detail, and people skills.

• Demonstrated ability to meet achieve operating target.

• Flexibility to work all shifts as needed.

What will your typical day look like?

• Providing leadership and direction to our hourly associated in alignment with both site culture expectations and operating metrics.

• Maintain a safe work environment through reinforcement of safe work practice and ensuring compliance with site standard operating procedures, policies, and practices.

• Ensure process compliance and adherence to all manufacturing instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality systems.

• Deliver products on schedule to meet customer expectations.

• Drive continuous improvement by engaging people in active problem solving, by analyzing trends to solve the root cause of problems.

• Translate site metrics into what it means to hourly associates and how their work is directly related.

• Manage and coordinate staffing to achieve production goals, while cross training the team to allow for flexibility and stable operation.

• Utilize data to discover trends and eliminate sources of product defects.

• Administrative and managerial standard work (training documentation, payroll processing, updating reports, etc.)

What about the physical demands of the job?

• Exposure to the shop floor requires wearing PPE.

• Walking, climbing, stooping, stooping, bending, and lifting are all part of the hands-on learning process.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $79100-112800 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include annual bonus, if eligible.
