Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Program & Project Management Intern to join our Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) team in Pickering, Ontario . In this new position , you will support our program and project management teams by assisting with the coordination, planning, and execution of various projects.
AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to: Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education and Government.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical project management skills while contributing to meaningful organizational initiatives. You will work closely with experienced professionals who will mentor you throughout your internship, providing exposure to real-world project environments and best practices.
Key responsibilities:
Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities and timelines
Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including status reports and meeting minutes
Help track project milestones, deliverables, and budget information
Communicate with project stakeholders to gather information and provide updates
Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or delays
Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings, conference calls, and team events
Support the development and distribution of project communications and presentations
Help maintain project files, databases, and organizational systems
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, and scheduling
Contribute to process improvements and identify opportunities for increased efficiency
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must currently be in a Bachelors Program in any subject, but we will consider someone possessing any demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Must have completed a minimum of 1 year of study
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative
Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Experience with project management software tools
Knowledge of project management best practices and frameworks
Previous internship, co-op, or project coordination experience
Additional Information
Relocation is not available for this position.
Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $20 to $26.
