Technical Lead / Solution Architect (Web & Data Platforms)

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a Technical Lead / Solution Architect to lead end-to-end technical design and architecture for a web portal and data platform engagement. This role is responsible for shaping application architecture, APIs, database design, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and security, while guiding development teams through delivery. The position requires a hands-on leader who can drive architecture decisions, ensure solution quality, and collaborate closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Design

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for web portal and data platform engagements

• Design modular application architecture, service-layer structure, API frameworks, and database schemas across multiple data stores

• Define technology stack, integration patterns, and cloud infrastructure architecture

• Produce architecture documentation, technical design documents, and data flow diagrams

• Ensure scalability, maintainability, performance, and long-term extensibility

Technical Leadership & Delivery Support

• Lead technical workshops and architecture review sessions with client stakeholders

• Guide development teams on framework patterns, coding standards, query optimization, and cloud integration

• Review code quality, approve architectural decisions, and resolve technical blockers

• Collaborate with project management, business analysis, development, DevOps, data, and QA teams

• Support solution planning and technical alignment across the delivery lifecycle

Integration, Data & Platform Architecture

• Design integration patterns for enterprise identity providers, GIS platforms, APIs, and cloud-native services

• Define service interactions, data flows, and system boundaries across applications

• Guide database and data platform design, including schema strategy and performance optimization

• Ensure reliable integration with external systems and evolving data requirements

Security, DevSecOps & Governance

• Support DevSecOps integration and define security architecture aligned with client standards

• Ensure secure design practices across application, API, and data layers

• Contribute to technical governance, standards, and review processes

• Establish secure coding and deployment practices with DevOps and engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in solution architecture and technical leadership for web applications and data platforms

• Experience designing modular application architecture, APIs, service layers, and data flows

• Strong knowledge of modern web application design patterns

• Experience designing and guiding database architecture, schema design, and performance optimization

• Experience defining integration patterns across enterprise systems, APIs, and external platforms

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure architecture and application deployment considerations

• Experience guiding engineering teams on coding standards, technical design, and architecture best practices

• Ability to lead technical discussions with client stakeholders and internal teams

• Experience producing architecture artifacts such as technical design documents and diagrams

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical direction into actionable guidance
