Description
We are seeking a Sr. Litigation Paralegal to join a legal team in Phoenix, Arizona in a contract-to-hire capacity. This role supports a fast-paced litigation environment focused on civil matters involving debt-related claims, collections litigation, and related disputes. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting a high-volume caseload with shifting priorities and tight deadlines. The role will work closely with internal legal leadership and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions, supporting matters from intake through resolution, including active litigation and post-judgment case activity.
Responsibilities:
• Support litigation activities across a high-volume caseload involving debt-related claims, collections matters, and civil disputes.
• Assist with case management from intake through resolution, including ongoing litigation and post-judgment follow-up activities.
• Prepare and organize discovery materials, maintain case files, and ensure legal documents are accurate and properly maintained.
• Build case chronologies, timelines, and factual summaries to support attorney review and case strategy.
• Assist with drafting and filing litigation documents including subpoenas, affidavits, motions, and small claims materials as needed.
• Support trial and hearing preparation by organizing exhibits, managing deadlines, and assembling case materials.
• Coordinate with in-house counsel and outside law firms across multiple jurisdictions to gather information and track case progress.
• Maintain case management systems and ensure accurate tracking of deadlines, filings, and case activity.
Requirements
• Prior experience supporting civil litigation matters in a paralegal or legal assistant capacity.
• Familiarity with litigation processes including discovery, filings, and case organization.
• Experience supporting high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Ability to prepare and organize legal documents with strong attention to detail.
• Experience assisting with hearings, depositions, or trial preparation preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with case management systems and legal document management tools.
• Paralegal certificate or formal legal training preferred.
