Actalent Remote Electrical Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic design team. The role involves working on a variety of high-profile construction projects, including data centers, industrial buildings, and offices. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with team members, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Travel to job sites may be necessary for site observations and client meetings.

  • Design electrical systems and perform design calculations.

  • Review, sign, and seal project documents.

  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, handle change orders, prepare record drawings, and conduct site visits and inspections.

  • Participate in commissioning work.

  • Write and edit specifications for electrical equipment, select equipment, systems, and devices.

  • Ensure projects are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget.

Qualifications

  • 4 - 6 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.

  • EIT certification required; PE preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of mission-critical project experience in areas such as advanced manufacturing, data centers, semiconductor, or healthcare.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

  • 2+ years of experience designing power systems.

  • Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems with interactive generator controls.

  • 2+ years of experience performing electrical analysis.

  • LEED AP BD+C is a nice-to-have.

  • Ability to perform arc flash studies.

Work Environment

The position allows for 100% remote work unless the candidate is local to Phoenix, AZ, or Austin, TX, where a hybrid work schedule is offered. The office in AZ, located on Tempe Town Lake, provides a modern, hotel-like atmosphere. The role is open to candidates in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IN, MI, MO, NV, OK, SC, TX, WA, WV, or UT. Candidates in NY, CA, CO, NJ, and WY must be willing to relocate.

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
