We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 3-8 years of experience in managing projects in oil, solar, coal, nuclear, and non-traditional energy sectors. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work under stress, with an understanding of P6 or MS Project and financials. This position involves a combination of remote, office, and on-site work with the expectation of travel for one week per month. Candidates from the west/midwest states are preferred.
Responsibilities
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
Oversee engineering design, land, construction, and overall administration.
Present to high-level executives and prepare slide decks.
Manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Coordinate project activities and ensure compliance with design and construction standards.
Provide managerial and technical oversight for project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Communicate status updates and results to mid-level, inter/intra departmental management.
Essential Skills
Project management experience, preferably in the energy sector.
Construction management expertise.
Experience with Requests for Information (RFI) and Change Orders.
Electrical project knowledge.
High voltage Transmission and Distribution (T&D) experience.
Project engineering and coordination skills.
Strong presentation and communication abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work under stress.
Understanding of financials.
Familiarity with P6 or MS Project.
Minimum of 2 years of project management experience on oil, gas, or coal-powered plants for energy.
Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
