The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of facilities delivered through EPC projects. This role bridges project execution and long‑term asset performance, ensuring systems are transitioned from construction to operations in compliance with contractual, regulatory, and performance requirements. The ideal candidate has strong EPC experience, technical operations expertise, and proven leadership in industrial or utility environments.
Key Responsibilities - Operations Management
Lead day‑to‑day plant or facility operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
Establish and enforce operational procedures, operating philosophies, and performance standards.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance and reliability.
Maintenance Management
Develop and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to minimize downtime.
Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and maintenance contracts.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and asset history.
EPC & Project Interface
Support EPC project teams during construction, commissioning, startup, and handover to operations.
Review O&M manuals, turnover packages, and as‑built documentation.
Participate in commissioning activities, punch list resolution, and system acceptance.
Ensure operations readiness for new assets and capital projects.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, train, and develop operations and maintenance personnel.
Establish staffing plans, shift schedules, and training programs.
Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
Budgeting & Cost Control
Develop and manage O&M budgets, including labor, materials, and service contracts.
Track expenses, forecast costs, and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
Support capital planning for equipment upgrades and replacements.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to OSHA, environmental, and site‑specific safety standards.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with permits, regulatory inspections, and audits.
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7–15+ years of experience in operations and maintenance within EPC, utilities, power generation, oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
Experience supporting construction‑to‑operations handover and commissioning activities.
Strong leadership and team management experience.
Prefe rred
Experience with power plants, renewable energy facilities, substations, industrial plants, or large infrastructure assets.
Familiarity with CMMS systems (Maximo, SAP, etc.).
Strong understanding of EPC contract structures and project execution phases.
Certifications such as PMP, CMRP, or equivalent are a plus.
