About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) to join a school-based team supporting students with developmental disabilities across K-12+ settings.
In this role, you will assess and treat students with sensorimotor, perceptual, and fine motor challenges , collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
This opportunity is ideal for clinicians passionate about pediatric therapy, education-based services, and making a meaningful impact in students’ lives , while benefiting from a school-year schedule (August–May) .
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in classroom settings
Evaluate students using formal and informal assessment tools and develop detailed reports
Participate in MET and IEP meetings , presenting findings and making recommendations
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with measurable goals
Monitor and document student progress through ongoing assessments
Create treatment plans and therapeutic activities aligned with best practices
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student needs
Recommend adaptive equipment and alternative seating solutions
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as applicable
Maintain accurate documentation, student records, and Medicaid billing
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
Valid Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners License (required)
Ability to obtain an AHCCCS number for Medicaid billing (required)
Current NPI number (required)
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred)
Skills & Abilities
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to interpret educational and clinical data
Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Experience working with students with developmental and behavioral challenges
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records
Compensation & Benefits
- $75,000 – $85,000 (10-Month School Year)

Active school environment with frequent walking, standing, and movement
May require lifting up to 50 lbs and assisting with student mobility
Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels
