Our client, a leading organization in the technology and banking sector, is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be part of the Security Operations Department supporting the Network Security team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to security challenges, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Pay Range: $50-$60/hr W2

Type: Contract

Duration: 12 months, option to extend

Projected Start Date: End of March

Schedule: 3x on site per week, (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

What's the Job?

• Design, implement, and manage network security solutions to protect organizational assets

• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are followed

• Maintain and optimize security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers

• Conduct security assessments and recommend improvements to enhance overall security posture

What's Needed?

• Experience with Github, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud services

• Knowledge of GCP, VPN solutions, and Palo Alto Networks security appliances

• Understanding of network security principles and information security best practices

• Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks Load Balancer and WAF configurations

• Certifications such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or AWS are highly desirable
