Job Summary
The Logistics Clerk position operates within a fast‑paced warehouse environment, supporting government programs by receiving, picking, processing, and delivering government‑accountable property across multiple contracts. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with government property regulations—FAR knowledge and experience are highly preferred. The clerk will coordinate the efficient flow of GFP and GFM, maintain accurate property records, and assist the Government Stores Storekeeper while demonstrating the capability and desire to develop into that position.
- Work schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage GFP inventory receipts and issues, entering inductions into SAP, processing SRS requests, managing put‑aways, and updating and maintaining accurate records.
Track and manage high‑volume, high‑value government property in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company procedures; perform cycle counts and conduct inventory.
Operate—or obtain certification to operate—forklifts.
Lift at least 35 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day or sit at a desk as needed.
Apply knowledge and experience in warehouse rules and procedures.
Maintain strong attention to detail when managing receipts, issues, transfers, inventories, records, and asset closeouts.
Compile records documenting quantity, cost, and type of property received, in stock, or issued.
Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, customers, and coworkers.
Use intermediate computer skills to support inventory, tracking, and documentation tasks.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Government Stores Storekeeper or GPSM.
Maintain valid transportation, a driver’s license, and the ability to drive a company vehicle and operate forklifts.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift heavy objects, both individually and as part of a team, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Associate’s degree and at least one year of government property experience.
Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills; experience with Microsoft applications, SAP, inventory databases; forklift certified or the ability to obtain certification.
