Honeywell Lead Systems Engineer - Retrofits, Modifications, and Upgrades in Phoenix, Arizona
You will be a Lead Systems Engineer responsible for aftermarket application and certification of new products and technologies, designing and developing system solutions that integrate into highly complex systems. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the RMU (Retrofits, Modifications, and Upgrades) business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones. Leverage your extensive technical experience and skills to guide the project team in every aspect of the RMU program’s engineering execution. You will use your technical abilities to create winning solutions for new designs or modifying existing products, parts, or processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, develop and advance RMU ideas to executable proposals, plans and programs and define engineering strategies for assigned customers.
Design and optimize certification strategies for new product introduction that increases Honeywell’s ownership of STCs
Design and optimize certification processes that leverage Aero initiatives
Lead and collaborate on STC, LRU variability, and aircraft configuration data management
Guide installation engineering activities toward cost-effective, certifiable solutions
Ensure Technical strategy for RMUs meet the milestones and cost targets, and support competitive proposals.
Prioritize work aligning with business strategy, interact and partner with the Gold Business Enterprise to develop/support product/customer strategies, understand and communicate the competitive landscape.
Lead and interact with customers & partners, to develop solutions meeting the customer and market requirements.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics”
10+ years’ experience in aviation engineering programs, aftermarket system solutions is a plus
WE VALUE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
Expert in avionics (electrical and mechanical) systems development lifecycle
Working knowledge of Technical Standard Orders and Parts Manufacturer Approval processes
Customer-facing experience
Knowledge of cockpit systems
Working in diverse and global team, demonstrated ability to work cohesively with several functions and teams.
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks
