Our client, a leading organization in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Lead Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Aerospace Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Engines & Power Systems department supporting innovative control system development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lead Aerospace Systems Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $82.13/hr plus OT, benefits
What's the Job?
Design, develop, and verify control systems for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) in the Engines & Power Systems business unit.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control system components and electronic controllers for new APU programs.
Execute and document trade studies, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance.
Develop and implement control algorithms and software tailored for aerospace applications.
Perform system integration, troubleshooting, and validation to meet industry standards and customer needs.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering from an accredited institution.
8+ years of systems engineering experience supporting safety-critical aerospace development.
Strong knowledge of control systems engineering principles and experience with control system design, implementation, and testing.
Experience with gas turbine engine control system components such as electronic controllers, fuel control, lubrication modules, wire harnesses, start motors, and various sensors.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
