Job Title: Journeyman Painter

Job Description

As a Journeyman Painter, you will be responsible for utilizing a gas spray rig to efficiently spray paint large volumes of walls, ceilings, doors, frames, concrete, pipes, and other surfaces. You will also be tasked with setting up and cleaning the spray rig, as well as operating aerial lifts to facilitate spray painting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize gas spray rig to spray paint large surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, frames, concrete, pipes, etc.

  • Set up and clean spray rig before and after use.

  • Operate aerial lift for spray painting tasks.

  • Apply primers, epoxy, polyurethane, and other coatings as needed.

  • Conduct paint preparation tasks efficiently.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Painter.

  • Proficiency in using gas spray rigs.

  • Experience working with aerial lifts.

  • Skilled in spray gun techniques.

  • Expertise in industrial painting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in paint preparation.

  • Ability to work in small crews.

  • Must have own tools.

Work Environment

You will work at TSMC with a start time of 5 am, and work days lasting between 8 to 10 hours depending on crew assignments. The work will be conducted in small crews of 5-10 people across various contracts throughout the building. It is essential to be comfortable wearing a respirator during work hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
