Technical Business Development Consultant
Location: Remote (Central, Mountain, or Western U.S. Preferred)
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 Base Salary
Travel: 40–60% Overnight
Position Type: Full-Time
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a highly technical, customer-focused Technical Business Development Consultant to support growth and successful deployment of enterprise print, document, and workflow management solutions.
This is not a traditional sales-only role.
Technical expertise is the priority.
You’ll be responsible for validating requirements, architecting solutions, leading implementations, and providing hands-on support in active client environments. While business development is part of the role, your ability to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise platforms is what drives success.
This role operates within a partner-driven sales model. You will engage directly with clients to:
Validate technical needs
Identify gaps
Design scalable solutions
Lead implementations
Ensure long-term client satisfaction
Fully remote with travel to client and partner locations (40–60%). Candidates must have access to a major airport.
What You’ll Do
Business Development & Client Engagement
Identify and pursue new opportunities within enterprise and mid-market accounts
Develop territory and account growth strategies
Lead consultative engagements involving multiple stakeholders
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations (virtual & onsite)
Translate operational challenges into measurable business value
Manage pipeline activity and forecasting
Technical Implementation & Deployment
Configure and deploy enterprise print and workflow platforms (uniFLOW, PaperCut, YSoft, Equitrac, eCopy, or similar)
Perform remote and onsite installations, integrations, and optimization
Support multi-site deployments
Maintain detailed technical documentation throughout implementation
Solution Architecture & Discovery
Lead in-depth technical discovery sessions
Design scalable print, scan, document capture, and workflow automation solutions
Validate system compatibility, network infrastructure, authentication methods, and integrations
Identify technical gaps and develop remediation plans
Troubleshooting & Post-Go-Live Support
Diagnose and resolve configuration and performance issues in live environments
Provide hands-on technical support during and after deployment
Conduct system testing and performance tuning
Ensure long-term client success through proactive follow-up
Training & Partner Enablement
Deliver virtual and onsite training for end users and administrators
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer
Support technical enablement for partner teams
What You Bring
Hands-on experience implementing enterprise print and workflow solutions
Strong troubleshooting and systems integration background
Experience working with enterprise or mid-market clients
Knowledge of output management, secure print release, and document capture environments
Comfort operating in a partner-driven model
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel overnight (40–60%)
