Architectural Project Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ (In-Office)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial architectural projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong experience in developer-driven work who enjoys balancing hands-on technical involvement with team leadership and client management.

The Project Manager will oversee projects from early design phases through construction administration, ensuring design quality, schedule adherence, and successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution

  • Manage architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, consultants, and internal teams

  • Actively participate in project execution using Revit and AutoCAD

  • Ensure design intent, constructability, and code compliance throughout all project phases

Team Management & Mentorship

  • Lead and mentor project teams including Job Captains, Designers, and Project Coordinators

  • Assign tasks, monitor team workloads, and support professional development

  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency

Project Management & Administration

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans

  • Coordinate consultant scopes, contracts, and deliverables

  • Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change documentation

  • Prepare and lead project meetings, including agendas, notes, and follow-up items

  • Oversee internal document control and quality assurance processes

Client & Consultant Coordination

  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear and proactive communication

  • Coordinate with civil, structural, MEP, and specialty consultants

  • Support entitlement, permitting, and agency coordination when required

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in architectural project management

  • Proven experience with developer-driven commercial projects

  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

  • Comprehensive understanding of architectural design, construction documents, and building systems

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Industrial, Office, and/or Retail project types

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • Collaborative leadership style with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

  • Architectural licensure is a plus, but not required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
