Description
Robert Half is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic client in the Philadelphia area. In this Senior Accountant role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing detailed analyses to support organizational decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with a strong background in accounting and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and control.
Responsibilities:
Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statement analyses and assist in the creation of annual financial statements and footnotes.
Support preliminary and annual audits by providing detailed financial analysis and documentation.
Analyze fluctuations in administrative expenses and maintain updated allocation files for budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
Complete quarterly rollforward reports for investment activities tied to limited partnerships.
Process wire transfer requests, review bank reconciliations, and forecast interfund balances.
Develop materials for Board of Directors meetings, including slide decks and reports on financial policies, medical plan balance sheets, and vendor claims.
Monitor reports from investment managers and vendors, escalating identified issues to the appropriate teams.
Evaluate new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the organization.
Document and refine financial procedures to strengthen internal controls and mitigate risks of fraud or error.
Requirements
The ideal Senior Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA required.
Other requirements for the Senior Accountant position include and are not limited to:
5+ years professional experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel, Word, and Power Point).
Experience with Power BI and Workday.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial data analysis
Excellent communication and client service skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
