Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Must hold a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any endorsements required
- Clean driving record and minimum of 3 years driving Buses a/o Passenger Vans
- Must be punctual
- Familiar with City of Philadelphia and neighboring counties
Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school in a timely manner; as well as provide transportation to student and staff for field trips and to/from extracurricular activities or other school related events
- Provide transportation services to other schools and outside organizations as needed
- Monitor and report student behavior and provide correction when necessary
- Ensure all passengers adhere to the rules of the bus and the code of conduct
- Communicate all incidents to Transportation Manager and Principals and complete necessary paperwork
- Obey all traffic laws to avoid accidents and other hazards
- Keep bus free of dirt, debris, and any material deemed hazardous
- Inspect bus regularly for any signs of problems and report any issues to the Transportation Manager
