Marine Vessel Electrical Engineer (Cable Pulling Supervisor) in Philadelphia, PA. Duties incl: Conduct daily toolbox meetings to assess team members' health status, reinforce shipyard safety protocols, & communicate critical operational updates; Assign cable pulling & cable cutting tasks to appropriate personnel & employees based on project specs, system layouts, & req'd cable lengths for specific marine vessels; Supervise individual cable pulling performance of subordinate employees coordinate team operations to ensure compliance w/safety standards & operational efficiency; Continuously assess team performance & reallocate tasks as needed to optimize productivity & meet evolving operational demands; Compile & review daily progress reports to proactively adjust work plans & resolve site-level issues; Dvlp detailed daily & wkly work schedules that align w/project milestones & deadlines; Utilize engrg software such as 3D modeling software (e.g., Navisworks) & specialized equip (e.g., semi-automatic cable pullers, rollers, reel jacks, lifters, binding tools) for efficient cable pulling performance; Analyze project documentation incl. drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), tech standards, & specs-to dvlp accurate cable cutting & pulling strategies; Oversee & verify the accuracy of cable length measurements betw elect systems prior to cutting, ensuring precision in cable installation; Dvlp & implement risk mitigation strategies for high-hazard tasks such as cable pulling, through strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout safety procedures, fall protection, confined space entry protocols, & hot work safety measures; Provide both theoretical & hands-on training to cable pulling technicians to support skills dvlpmnt, safety awareness, & tech proficiency.
