About the Role

The Manager – Regional Fleet Service is responsible for the operational performance of an assigned service area, owning everything from day-to-day technician leadership to vendor relationships and equipment readiness. You'll serve as the on-site lead during new location startups, inspect equipment during fleet takeovers and ensure maintenance activities meet safety, quality and service standards across the region.

This role sits at the intersection of people leadership and operational execution. You'll work closely with fleet maintenance managers and operations leaders to identify cost drivers, develop solutions and keep the region running efficiently and safely.

Success here means your technicians are developed, your vendors are accountable, your equipment is ready and your region consistently delivers.

What You'll Do

  • Own day-to-day service truck operations across the Northeast U.S. region, ensuring maintenance work is executed safely, efficiently and to established service standards

  • Lead and manage service truck technicians, including hiring, performance management, coaching and employee development

  • Serve as the on-site operational lead during new location startups, establishing equipment readiness, vendor alignment and service standards from day one

  • Pre-select, negotiate with and manage local maintenance vendors, holding them accountable to clear service level expectations

  • Inspect third-party and specialty equipment during fleet takeovers and new location launches to assess condition and determine repair or replacement needs

  • Collaborate with fleet maintenance managers and operations leaders to identify cost drivers and develop solutions to reduce maintenance expenses

  • Establish goals and operational plans to drive expense reduction and performance improvement across the region

  • Ensure maintenance procedures, safety requirements and documentation standards are followed and that completed work meets quality expectations

  • Review operational and financial results to identify trends, adjust priorities and drive continuous improvement

What Great Looks Like

  • Technicians are developed, engaged and performing with clear expectations and consistent coaching

  • Vendors are pre-qualified, well-managed and held to defined service levels

  • Equipment is ready at all locations — established and startup — with minimal downtime

  • Regional costs are monitored proactively and expense reduction solutions are implemented

  • New location startups are executed smoothly with standards in place from day one

  • Operational and financial results are reviewed regularly and drive continuous improvement

What You Bring

  • Experience leading maintenance or field service operations with direct responsibility for people and performance outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, negotiate with and manage third-party maintenance vendors in a field or outsourced service environment

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor costs, review maintenance expenses and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency

  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes, equipment repair and field service operations

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to reside in the Philadelphia, PA or Baltimore, MD area to support the Northeast U.S. region

Going the Extra Mile

  • Two-year degree or applicable work experience with demonstrated success

  • Experience supporting or leading new location or account startups, including equipment assessment and vendor onboarding

  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement process improvements across a distributed or regional operation
