Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our clients finance team on a 5-month contract basis to provide coverage during a parental FMLA leave. This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for an early-career finance or accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, analysis, and operational finance within a collaborative team environment.
The Junior Financial Analyst will support core finance activities including reporting, variance analysis, forecasting support, and assisting with month-end close processes. This role will work closely with finance, accounting, and operations teams to help maintain accurate financial data and support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and basic financial analysis
Help prepare weekly sales pacing reports and support ongoing financial tracking and reporting
Assist in monitoring P&L accounts and researching variances or discrepancies
Support the forecasting and budgeting process
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Coordinate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable to help ensure proper coding and timely processing of financial transactions
Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
1–3 years of finance, accounting, or financial analysis experience (internships and entry-level experience welcome)
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote work environment
