General Job Description:

This is supervisory engineering work directing the activities of engineers engaged in engineering projects in the area of specialization. An employee in this class may also function as a squad leader over a small group of engineers and engineering assistants engaged in the completion of less comprehensive engineering projects. The Water Resources Specialty supervises interdisciplinary teams consisting of engineers and other technical staff. Assignments require analytical thinking and are performed in accordance with accepted engineering standards and applicable regulations. Employees in this class participate with engineers, associates and others to assure that all assignments are completed properly and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

ELECTRICAL SPECIALTY

EDUCATION:

Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university with major coursework in the area of specialization.

And

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Two years of engineering experience in the area of specialization.

And

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

Two years of engineering experience at the full performance level in the area of specialization which does not include water resources experience.

Or

Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Human Resources, which has included the completion of a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in an acceptable area of engineering.
