The Role
As a Direct Care Worker (DCW), you are the heartbeat of our agency. You won't just be "completing tasks"---you'll be providing the companionship and essential daily support that allows seniors and individuals with disabilities to thrive. Since this is a non-skilled role, no medical procedures (like injections or wound care) are required.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care: Assist with "Activities of Daily Living" (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting with the utmost respect for privacy.
Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversation, play games, assist with hobbies, and provide emotional support to combat isolation.
Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning dishes.
Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to the client's dietary needs and preferences.
Errands & Transportation: Assist with grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, or accompanying clients to medical appointments.
Safety Monitoring: Provide medication reminders (self-administration only) and ensure the home environment is free of trip hazards.

Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak clearly to document care notes and communicate with the office and families.
Physical Ability: Must be able to assist with transferring clients (lifting/positioning) and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license/auto insurance.
Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
