Job Title: Concrete Mixer Driver
Job Summary
The Concrete Mixer Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to construction sites. This role involves operating a concrete mixer truck, maintaining load quality, following delivery schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and traffic regulations while providing professional customer service on job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to designated job sites
- Safely load, transport, and unload concrete according to company procedures
- Inspect truck before and after trips (pre-trip and post-trip inspections)
- Maintain proper concrete consistency during transit
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and site conditions
- Position truck correctly at job sites and assist with chute setup
- Wash down truck, chutes, and equipment after deliveries
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Comply with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery tickets, logs, and required documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid CDL (Class B or A)
- Clean or acceptable driving record
- Previous commercial driving or construction experience preferred
- Knowledge of concrete handling and job-site safety is a plus
- Ability to operate manual and/or automatic transmissions
- Strong attention to safety and detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb in and out of truck multiple times per day
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work early mornings, long hours, and occasional weekends
